THURSDAY - JUNE 17
Staff interview questions:
Tell us three things about yourself.
I just graduated from USC with my BFA in Fine Art (emphasis intermedia and ceramics), my favorite thing to do when stressed is bake sourdough bread, and I spend a lot of my time playing video games and enjoying memes!
What brings you to Craft Contemporary?
I was previously the 2019 Getty Curatorial Intern, and now am back as the new Digital Marketing Manager. I’ve had a great first few weeks and am exciting to keep working with the staff! It’s good to be back.
Where will Craft friends see evidence of your work at the museum?
If you follow our social media, you’ll see me in my element >:) I also am in charge of the newsletters, so hopefully you can enjoy those as well!
Do you have an art practice of any sort?
I do! I have a practice that relates greatly to internet culture and the different ways that people relate to a digital space. My website is rudyfalagan.com and my recently finished thesis is about tracking patterns with obsessive-compulsive disorder alongside patterns found in the artificial intelligence in the video game The Sims 4.
Tell us about your dream dinner party.
It would be held underwater. Ideally me and some very close friends. It would be great to see some of my favorite fictional characters too. A.G. Cook should absolutely be there, as should Jon Rafman. We would all try to talk but the bubbles will make it hard to hear. We laugh and even more bubbles come out. It will be lovely.
What did we forget to ask you about?
My favorite things! My favorite place to go is Sunset Beach, my favorite food is pasta, my favorite movie is The Departed (2006), and my favorite animal is my dog Bo. I love him dearly.
