TUESDAY - JUNE 29

As Pride month comes to an end, we look back on our 2019 exhibition π˜–π˜― 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘴π˜ͺπ˜₯𝘦, a group show of currently incarcerated LGBT+ artists. The project started with a small ad in Black and Pink newsletter, a monthly publication filled with prisoner generated content. Almost 4,000 submissions were received.

On the Inside made the individual and collective statement that identity and sense of self is valuable and worth claiming. It provided a space for programming, discussions, and education about topics that are so often left untouched.

This Pride month, we hope that you thought not just about the LGBT+ people in your life, but those without the daily luxuries that we enjoy. This month is about so much more than celebration. It is about finding ways to stand up for underserved communities and to continue to push forward towards a better future.
